Dental Outreach Disposables List

(assuming  4 days of work, 30-50pts/day/doctor)

  • Gloves

    • Small: 1000

    • Medium: 1200

    • Large:  1000

  • Masks

    • Standard earloop face masks (fluid resistant)

  • Needles

    • 27 gauge, Long (35mm):   300

    • 30 gauge, Short(20mm):  300

  • Scalpels (Either blades, if we have reusable handles, OR Disposable Scalpels with handles attached)

    • 15 blades: 200 (could make due with only 15s)

    • 12 blades: 100

  • Anesthetic

    • Lidocaine HCl 2%, 1/100k epi: 600, 1.7mL Cartages

    • Septocaine HCl 4%, 1/100k epi: 300, 1.7mL Cartages

  • Topical Fluoride

    • 5% sodium Fluoride Varnish:  Qt. 500-600, (Preferably in 0.5mL individual packages)

  • Gauze

    • 2”x2” Cotton Medical Gauze (Non-sterile is ok):  10,000 [there is usually 200/package]

    • **Other Option is getting half as many 4”x4” gause and cut them up

  • Surgical Gelfoam OR Collagen Plugs (don’t need both)

    • Absorbable Gelatin Sponges, USP (Size 4): 60 [usually 12-24/package]

    • Absorbable Collagen Wound Dressing (1cm x 2cm): 60 [usually 10/ package]

  • Suture

    • 4-0 Plain Gut: 100-150 individual packages

    • 4-0 Chromic Gut: 50 individual packages

  • Suction Tips  & Air Water tips(*There are Reusable Steel versions of Surgical Suction tips)

    • High Vacuum Ejectors/ HVE Tips 400-500

    • Surgical Suction Tips: 300-400

    • Saliva Ejectors: 200-300

    • Air Water Tips: 400-500 (They must fit with our Dental Unit**)

  • Cleaning and Sanitary

    • Sharps Disposal!!!!!: We need to get a large one of these! A milk jug will not due, this particular system is a must (http://wastewise.com/product-specs/ )

    • Patient Bibs: 400-500 (or we could make due with Paper Towel)

    • CaviWipes:  3-4 Containers

    • CaviSpray: 2-3 Bottles

    • Chlorhexidine Mouth Rinse (aka. Peridex):  5-7 bottles

    • Utility Syringe No.412 (Monoject #412):  200-300

    • Line cleaning solution (ex: Vac Attak): 2 containers

    • Sterilization pouches: (Esp. small ones for the surgical burs so we don’t loose them. Or we could use stainless steal loose leave tea baskets)

    • Paper Towels: 20 rolls

    • Bleach: 2 jugs

    • Rubbing Alcohol: ½ gallon

    • Hand Soap

    • Distilled Water

    • Scrubbing Brushes: To remove debris from instruments before putting them in sterol: 1-2

    • Small cleaners for hand pieces: Like pipe cleaners

    • Hand Piece Oil: Small amount

  • Hand Outs

    • Tooth Brushes

    • Tooth Paste

    • Floss
