Priority 1 (For Extractions, Fluoride, and Oral Health Instruction w/handouts)

***Key: Anything Underlined is a Must Have to carry out Treatment.

 

  • Syringes

    • Aspirating Syringes (Standard Dental): Qt. 6-8

  • Tissue Prep

    • Periosteal Elevator, No.9 Molt: Qt. 6-8

    • Standard Current, No. 86 or 87:  Qt. 6-8

    • Minnesota Retractors: Qt. 6-8

    • Mouth Mirrors: Qt. 6-8

    • Scalpel Handles: Qt. 4-6

  • Extraction Forceps

    • Any size or variation people are willing to donate would be helpful

    • If people are wanting to buy, then donate standard sizes/most useful are: 

      • MOST USED No.23(aka: Cow Horn Forceps), No. 151, No. 150, :  (Qt. 6-12 each)

      • 2nd Most Used: No.74 (aka: Ash Forceps) No. 88R and No.88L, Root Tip Forceps, Bone Rongeurs, Bone Files: (Qt. 2-5 each)

  • Luxators (Quantity Needed 6-8 each)

    • Any size or variation people are willing to donate would be helpful

    • If people are wanting to buy, then donate standard sizes/most useful are: No. 301,No. 34, any Back action serrated Luxators ex: No. 77R and No.77L 

  • Elevators  (Quantity Needed: 2-5)

    • Any size or variation people are willing to donate would be helpful

    • If people are wanting to buy, then donate standard sizes/most useful are: Bernard Root Tip Elevators No. 60R and No 60L, Pott’s Elevators,

  • Cryer Elevators (Quantity Needed: 2-3 each)

    • No. 25 and No. 26 (aka: East West Flags)

  • Root Tip Picks (Quantity Needed: 2-3 each)

    • Any size or variation people are willing to donate would be helpful

    • If people are wanting to buy, then donate standard sizes/most useful are:  2 Heidbrink angled R and L

  • Surgical needle holders (Quantity Needed: 4-6)

    • Any size or variation people are willing to donate would be helpful

    • If people are wanting to buy, then donate standard sizes/most useful are:  5” to 7” Locking needle holders

  • Surgical Scissors (Quantity Needed: 4-6)

    • Any size or variation people are willing to donate would be helpful

    • If people are wanting to buy, then donate standard sizes/most useful are:  4” to 6” strait surgical scissors

  • Surgical Hemostats (Quantity Needed: 2-4 These could be used for Needle Holders if necessary)

    • Any size or variation people are willing to donate would be helpful

    • If people are wanting to buy, then donate standard sizes/most useful are:  5” to 7” Locking

  • Pressure Pots  (Quantity Needed: 2-4)

    • Size:  6 and10 Quarts size should be fine

  • Surgical Handpiece  (Quantity needed: 2-4)

    • 45degree head angle would be ideal

    • must be air driven/powered but NOT allow air into the surgical field. They may need an appropriate connector to adapt it to an air driven dental unit.

  • Surgical Burs (Quantity needed: 15-20)

    • Bur No. FG-557SL (Aka: Long/Surgical 557): 

  • Safety Glasses(Quantity needed: 20 or more)

    • Standard Clear Plastic Safety Glasses: 

  • Extraneous Needs

    • Camp Burner: To put the pressure pots on to Sterilize Instruments

    • Bib Clips for dental bibs

    • THICK RUBBER Gloves: for cleaning dental instruments before putting them into autoclave/Pressure Pot

    • Hot Mitts: for handling pressure pot and Hot sterol Instilments

    • Hand Towels:  Just some plain white, clean towels we can wash and bleach after the day is finished.

    • Chairs :for patients and waiting room

      • 4 that lean back would be ideal so we can work on people easier

  • More Expensive Long-term Needs

    • Radiographs:

      • Nomad: Hand Held radiograph machine: Qt. 1

      • Digital Radiograph sensors: Qt. 1-2

      • Color Coaded Digital Radiograph holders: Qt. 5-10

      • Radiograph Software for Computer: Qt. 1

    • Mobile Dental Units: to keep, not rent (Lets discuss before buying bks there are certain specifications we want to meet or we will be replacing them every trip…)

    • Stationary Dental Units: (If we wanted to dedicate 1 room to Dental/ Medical work we could set up a couple units and leave them at Grace)

    • Large Stationary Air compressor: (to power multiple dental units (This would stay at Grace)
