YOU can make a difference...
God has blessed our ministry in Jamaica so abundantly over the 25+ years here and we give Him all the glory! We have known from the beginning that a good education is one way the children of this difficult community will be able to stop the downward spiral of violence, drug/alcohol abuse, and teen pregnancy. Unfortunately, we're finding that many families cannot afford the items necessary to send their children to school. Many of you have helped provide for these needs in previous years but we're ready to take it to the next level.
We have established "IsleGRO", a sponsorship program that will enable anyone anywhere to help a child go to school for a term (3 terms per year). The cost is only $50/child/term and $90/teen/term for a teenager and will provide a uniform and books as well as the school supplies needed. Our partners in ministry will be constantly evaluating the child's progress and making regular reports with pictures on your investment in a child's future.
Funds for sponsoring a child in school can be made through our website via credit card or PayPal. You can also send a check designated for IsleGRO to our address listed on our home page. All donations are tax-deductible and an end-of-the-year statement will be sent to each donor for tax purposes. Our good friend and intern, Katie Wagner, has stepped forward to assist on this ministry. It was her blog about her 2010 summer internship that started the interest in establishing this sponsorship program!
